Find the move worth making.

A growth and innovation consultancy for people facing a move that has to count. We find the truth in how people and markets behave, shape the move, build it and prove it with real people — finishing with something live in the market.

The innovators we’ve helped grow

what we do

Growth shouldn't be a leap of faith.

The most impactful growth is usually hiding in behaviour — an unmet need, an underserved customer, a whitespace in the market nobody has claimed yet.

We go looking for it, across culture, competitors, customers and your own company, until we find something worth building. Then we prove it.

We bring the right people into the room from the start, align on what we're solving and how we'll know it worked, then build the evidence early — before the serious investment.

With us the move you make is backed by something real. Human-centred, evidence-led, built from experiments small enough to learn from and sharp enough to scale — we design the move, test it and get it to market. Because a strategy without delivery isn't worth much.

growth levers

Impactful growth lives in these key areas.

Over 20 years of working with world-famous brands and fast-moving startups, one conclusion stands up: focused change in these areas consistently drives growth.

The rising tide

Brand + Proposition

Brand is emotional gravity — the memory, meaning and belonging that pulls people toward you before they've consciously decided. Proposition is the rational permission that lets them act on it: the clear answer to why this, why now, why you. Get both right and everything downstream works harder. Get either wrong and no amount of spend closes the gap.

the proof

Product + Service

The best brand promise in the world falls apart the moment the experience doesn't deliver. Product and service is where intention meets reality — whether what you sell is genuinely desirable, whether it's priced and packaged for the market it's actually in, and whether the experience of buying, using and returning creates the kind of customers who come back and bring others. Innovation here isn't a one-off. It's a discipline.

the engine

Customer + Prospect

The people who choose you, buy again, spend more, refer others — and the people who haven't found you yet. Acquisition, retention, loyalty, advocacy, lifetime value. Getting this right is the difference between growth that costs less every year and growth that gets more expensive to sustain.

what we do

Capabilities, assembled around the move.

We don't hand you a menu. We start with the decision you're trying to make, then pull the right capabilities around it.

See Clearly

Research + Insight

Customer research, behavioural insight, category and competitor analysis, cultural signals, data analytics, and AI-assisted synthesis —  understand what's really going on before deciding what to do about it.

Decide well

Growth Strategy

Growth and go-to-market strategy, opportunity mapping, market entry, business-model and proposition design, commercial modelling, roadmaps and the decision narrative to take to the board — giving leadership a clear, defensible direction.

Build the foundation

Brand + Proposition

Positioning, brand strategy, messaging architecture, value proposition, naming, narrative and portfolio — transforming the business to be easier to understand, choose and believe in.

Make it real

Experience + Product

Customer journeys, end-to-end experience design, product and proposition concepts, signature moments, membership and loyalty — shaping what you offer and every interaction around it into something people actually need.

Grow the relationship

Customer + Lifecycle

Acquisition, retention, loyalty, CRM, engagement mechanics and lifecycle measurement — turning attention into repeatable customer value.

Prove it, then ship it

Build + Experimentation

Prototypes and MVPs, product build, live experiments and pilots, synthetic personas, concept testing, measurement frameworks and commercial attribution, and AI tooling — building the concepts into something testable, then proving what works before the bigger spend.

How We work

IV3 Our Methodology

Developed through twenty years of growth and innovation work for world-famous brands, scaleups and startups.

Arrive with an insight, an idea or the need to innovate. Three principles hold true from there: Visibility, Validation and Velocity, always on and they cut both ways — the standard we hold ourselves to, and the standard we ask of you.

Human-centred design is the process that does the work — and it does two jobs. It brings the rigour, and it stops you settling for the first idea that sounds good instead of finding the one that actually creates impact.

It's how a fuzzy ambition becomes a live, in-market growth move.

The start

/ Idea
/ Insight
/ Innovation

Defined entry points, because no two engagements begin the same way. We interrogate which one you're really in and shape the foundations of the project.

the Principles

+ Visibility
+ Validation
+ Velocity

Three principles that hold true regardless of entry point — though what they demand in practice flexes depending on where we start.

The process

→ Discover
→ Define
→ Design
→ Deliver

We use a proven human-centred design process to discover, define, design and deliver the move. IV³ governs it throughout.

Who we work with

For the people who own the next move.

Founders.

A raise to live up to and a board with expectations. You own the decision and you own the fallout — you need proof the move is right before you commit the investment.

Growth Leaders.

Carrying the number and the budget to move on it. You own the growth agenda — what you need is the evidence and the method to commit at scale with confidence.

Established Brands.

Real equity to protect in a market that doesn't sit still. Competitors, culture and customer expectations are all moving fast — you need the insight and validation to make the right move at the right time.

Investors.

You've backed the thesis — now it has to hold up in the market. We pressure-test the growth plan behind a deal, and go into portfolio companies to turn it into something that actually performs.

FAQs

The questions worth asking.

What actually is human-centred design?

It's a way of solving problems that starts with people — what they need, believe, choose and do — rather than with a spreadsheet or a hunch. For us it's less a ritual and more a discipline for making better commercial decisions: understand people properly, generate stronger options, test them quickly, and build the ones the real world rewards. The humans stay at the centre; the evidence keeps everyone honest.

Are you a strategy consultancy, an innovation agency or a growth partner?

All three, and then some — because we don't stop at the thinking. We sit at the front end of high-stakes growth decisions, but we stay through the making: a piece of work can run from insight and strategy into brand, proposition, experience and product, and on into building, launching and embedding the thing itself. The question underneath never changes — what move should you make, what proves it, and how do we get it live?

Do you guarantee growth?

No — and we'd be wary of anyone who does before the market's had its say. What we do is take the guesswork out: clearer choices, tested assumptions, an honest read on the risk, and investment that follows evidence instead of opinion.

How fast do you work?

A focused sprint can get you from question to evidence-backed direction in a matter of weeks. The honest answer is that it depends on the decision, the access to customers and how quickly your side can move. We go quickly, never recklessly — that's the whole point of velocity.

How do you validate an idea?

We pick the smallest credible experiment that'll teach us something real — interviews, prototype tests, landing pages, message tests, concept scoring, a synthetic-persona stress test, quant, or a live pilot. The method follows the risk we're trying to reduce, rather than the other way round.

Do you use AI?

Yes, wherever it makes the work sharper or faster — synthesis, competitor mapping, concept generation, synthetic audiences, experiment design. It's a brilliant accelerant. It doesn't replace real customers, and it doesn't get the final vote.

Who's it for?

Founders, scale-ups, CMOs, CEOs and growth leaders — though the title matters less than the moment. If you've got a challenge, an ambition or an opportunity and the next move genuinely has to count, that's our patch.

What do we walk away with?

As much of the journey as you need — we're built to go the whole way. It often starts as a clearer decision with the evidence behind it, but it rarely stops there: the move designed, prototyped, then built, launched and embedded in your business, down to helping you shape and build the team that keeps it running. Insight to in-market, and beyond. Not separate services stitched together — one continuous piece of work. We build what we find.
